High Court: Remote Hearings

Today the High Court handed down its judgement in Walk Safe Security Services Ltd v London Borough of Lewisham [2024] EWHC 1787 (Admin).  It concerned an appeal against a licensing authority decision, at a remotely held hearing, to revoke a premises licence during a remote hearing.  The court ruled there was no restriction on the holding of such remote hearings and found in favour of the licensing authority.
