TfL Taxi Age Limits Consultation

Today Transport for London (TfL) has opened a consultation entitled ‘Have your say on reducing the maximum age limits for taxis‘.

TfL, in accordance with the Mayor of London’s ‘Transport Strategy‘, proposes to-

1. “Mandate the maximum taxi operating age from 1 November 2019“
2. “Introduce a new age limit for taxis over a phased period of time from 1 November 2010“
3. “Remove taxi age limit exemptions from 1 November 2019“

Responses are sought, and can be submitted through an online survey, before the consultation closes on 26th April 2019.
