National Database Requirements

Today the Air Quality (Taxis & Private Hire Vehicles Database) (England & Wales) Regulations 2019 were approved by Parliament.  It requires licensing authorities to upload, on a central database, specified information about the taxis and private hire vehicles it licenses.  The regulations come into force on 1^st May 2019.  A new ‘National Register of Taxi & Private Hire Licence Revocations & Refusals (NR3)‘ has also been created by the Local Government Association.
