School Contracts & DBS Checks

The Home Office (HO) has responded to the Institute of Licensing (IoL), following its letter of concern on 11th October 2022, regarding school contracts and Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) checks. Those concerns centred on the need for an additional DBS check (under the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006). It provided its reply in the below letter:
