HMRC TOMS Exclusion

Today HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) exclusion of private hire and taxi journeys from the Tour Operators’ Margin Scheme (TOMS) is set to take effect.  This was confirmed within its ‘VAT Tour Operators’ Margin Scheme – Supplies by Private Hire Vehicle or Taxi Operator‘ Policy Paper.  Those affected by this change should consult the Policy Paper for HMRC advice on steps to be taken.
