20 January 2021/Comments Off on High Court on Streetspace
Today the High Court handed-down its judgement on a judicial review challenge against, amongst others, the London Streetspace Plan and A10 road restrictions (incl. Bishopsgate) (R (United Trade Action Group & Others) v Transport for London & Others [2020] EWHC 72 (Admin)). The Court found in favour of the Claimants and, in issuing a quashing order, stated (at para. 283):
“The Plan, the Guidance and the A10 Order all need to be re-considered by the Defendants and substantially amended…”
It is expected Transport for London, and the Mayor of London, will submit an appeal to the Court of Appeal.
