DfT Local Transport Consultation

Today the Department for Transport (DfT) launched its ‘Local Transport Authorities & The Licensing of Taxis & Private hire Vehicles‘ consultation. It invites views on potential benefits and challenges of making all local transport authorities responsible for taxi and private hire licensing in England.  The consultation closes on 1st April 2026.
