DfT Consults on Best Practice

The Department for Transport (DfT) has opened a consultation on updates to its ‘Taxi & Private Hire Vehicle Best Practice Guidance‘.  It seeks views on proposed changes to the ‘Best Practice Guidance‘ first issued in 2006 and, most recently, updated in 2010.  New proposals cover:

• Driving Proficiency.
• Driver Vocational Training & Assessment.
• Tinted Windows on Vehicles.
• Vehicle Identification & Signage.
• Vehicle Age Limits.

All responses must be submitted before closure of the consultation period on 20th June 2022.
