DfT Consults on Medicals

The Department for Transport (DfT) has opened a consultation on ‘Amending the Road Traffic Act 1988 to Allow Registered Healthcare Professionals to Complete DVLA Medical Questionnaires‘. It seeks:

“…views on changing the Road Traffic Act 1988, as amended, to enable healthcare professionals other than registered medical practitioners (doctors with full General Medical Council (GMC) registration) to complete DVLA medical questionnaires…“

All responses must be submitted before closure of the consultation period on 6th December 2021.
