Today the Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government issued a ‘Local Authority Remote Meetings: Call for Evidence‘. It seeks “…views on the use of the current arrangements which have allowed local authorities to hold meetings remotely or in a hybrid format during the coronavirus pandemic…”. The consultation closes on 17th June 2021.
[*Update: On 18th June 2021 the Lawyers in Local Government (LLG) organisation, who advocate permanent provision for use of remote meetings, published its ‘Response to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government‘.]
