Digital Safety Bill

Today Josh MacAlister MP introduced to the House of Commons the Protection of Children (Digital Safety & Data Protection) Bill.  The Private Members’ Bill seeks to make provision for the protection of children when accessing digital services and content.  This covers, namely, use of smartphones and social media.  Following its 2nd reading on 7th March 2025, the Bill was subsequently withdrawn on 10th September 2025.
