New National Standard Powers

Today the English Devolution & Community Empowerment Bill, having completed its passage through Parliament, received Royal Assent.   The new English Devolution & Community Empowerment Act 2026 introduces, amongst others, powers to create national standards.  Whilst the final version of the Act is currently awaiting release, it will be interesting to see how the provisions are used in time.
